How much should i tip at a hiar salon?

im a guy with short hair getting an $8 haircut. what is a reasonable tip? or is it even necessary for a job that take ten minutes?How much should i tip at a hiar salon?
$2.00 would be about right. Lots of places charge $10 or more to start with. You're not only paying for the time it takes to cut your hair, you're paying for the expertise of the barber. If he or she does a good job every time, a $2.00 tip is definitely worth it. I麓m an irish guy and in Ireland we dont usually tip but if you want to its your decision. I麓d probably drop a tenner and say that thats good enough. 2$ for 10 minutes is more than generous enough.
I wouldn't tip on a $8 hair cut. On a $100 hairstyle I give $10....
