my sister wanted to do this once before and they wouldn't even let her and shes 29My Daughter wants to work at a salon. is this possible?
hmm if its small stuff like that she might not get paid for it like you said that would be fine but most of the time i knew a lot of teens when i was in highschool would do that volunteering, or just to be an intern for experience, so i dont know how young you would have to be because even for them it was hard to get a chance, you should go directly to the source and ask them if they can pay her or not and what the reasons are, other that if she wants to do more all i know is that anyone without a liscense can only work at a salon for 6 months
i don't beleive they will let her work for pay at that age, but i would reccomend she speaks to salon owners to see if she can volunteer afterschool or on the weekends. i don't think that would be a problem.... its great that you support her with this : )
They might but it isn't likely. Do you know someone who works in a salon who could talk her up? That is probably your best bet. Most people are not willing to take chances on someone that young no matter how mature they are or how small their job would be.
my good friend got a job at a salon when she was 14, so maybe! she worked at the front desk and also swept up hair and things like that. they might! or maybe when she is a tiny bit older!

It may depend on the child labor laws. At 11 she may just be too young.
